About Me
Welcome to my page! I am a remote sensing data scientist and a postdoctoral associate at the Yale School of the Environment, where I work with Dr. Luke C. Sanford in the Study of Politics and Institutions with Remote Environmental Sensing (SPIRES) Lab to address social science questions with big spatiotemporal data and AI tools. I received my Ph.D. in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Connecticut (UConn), under the supervision of Dr. Zhe Zhu at the Global Environmental Remote Sensing Laboratory (GERS Lab).
My doctoral research builds scalable, application-driven frameworks to monitor and model forest disturbance, resilience, and ecosystem dynamics under environmental change. By integrating multi-sensor satellite data fusion, ecosystem ecology, and machine learning, I convert large-scale Earth observation data into decision-support tools for land managers, utilities, and forest carbon stakeholders. Additional details are available on the Research page.
Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, playing badminton, spending time with my dog, and reading about data-driven ways to understand Earth — my favorite planet.
